Tip 33: Buy Text Links on Other Websites!
Spending money on traffic is something that no one wants to do, but it
is a necessary evil that we all must consider. Buying text links isn't
all that bad; as matter of fact, it can result in a steady amount of
free traffic hits. However, it's just not smiled upon by Google or any
other of the search engines. They don't like it and they don't want it.
But like so many other things with Google, there is a way to get what
you want and still make them happy.
Just like with link exchanging, purchased text links must look as
natural as possible. This means that the website should not have a
section titled: "Website Links- Have Your Link Placed Here for Only a
Few Dollars a Month!" Instead, the links must be strategically placed
so that they appear to belong, even though they've actually been
bought.
It really isn't that hard to do. A webmaster that refuses to work with
you, and make the link blend into the content, is just lazy and looking
for a fast buck. Therefore, if you plan on purchasing links in the
future, make sure youhave an arrangement with the webmaster beforehand.
That way, you won't get penalized by the search engines and/or lose any
money.
Quick Note: Don't go overboard with this type of technique. Although it
can generate small amounts of traffic and get you a few valuable
backlinks, it isn't worth spending hundreds of dollars on text links.

Tip 34: Go Viral and Be a Tease!
Have you written an E-book or Report in the past? Do you intend to
write one in the future? If so, you can add a nice viral spin to it and
generate even more web site traffic. I'm not talking about telling
others to give your report away; we have already covered that in an
earlier tip. What I'm saying is that you should prepare to write a
second report and get people pumped up about it.
You can easily do this by making the first report "Part 1" or "Chapter
1" and then telling the people who read it that part two is on it's way
and will arrive very soon. You then lead people to a page on your
website giving a little sneak peak of part two and what will be
included. In addition to that, you should also include a questionnaire
on the page asking people what they would like to see in part two. This
will allow people to get more involved and more excited about the
upcoming report.
You can even take it a step further and encourage people to give it to
their friends. For doing so, those people would receive a special bonus
item that is available "NO WHERE ELSE" or they would get a generous
discount on "Part 2" when it finally arrives.
